I was minding my own busineess one morning when Tim said "hey...want to come up to the summit for the sunrise?". This picture is not Tim, it's somebody named Magill (or something like that). |

The summit isn't the only place to play with the sun. This night Tim and I hung out by the top of the Howqua chair just to see what the sun would do. What it did turned out to be pretty cool. |

The colors vary all over the map, from gold to brown, to (of course) pink. Here's a bit of the last light near the fire watch tower. | ![]() |

On this particular night the clouds made it look like the air was on fire. I wasn't the only one up there enjoying the show, there were probably two dozen people on the summit saying "wow". |
